Hey all, so after doing shows where I use my friends' laptops I am finally planning on taking the dive and getting my own.

I can't really afford one, but I need one and so I would rather get into a little more debt for a really good dependable one that will work for years than one that might break down in the middle of an important gig.

So I am open to suggestions, I have heard from two people that Macs are more dependable than PCs under performance conditions. What are your experiences?

I am planning to run ableton Live on it for my original electronic stuff.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and will get you on the guest list for my next show December 4th at Tost.
